Nokia Launches Ovi Store Worldwide

The world’s largest mobile phone manufacturer, Nokia has finally launched its Ovi Store worldwide. Nokia Ovi Store is a marketplace for Nokia to launch an application, music, video, widget and ringtone. As the same time, it allows Nokia users to download free and paid application to their Nokia handsets which running on Symbian S40 and S60 operating systems. For instance, the Nokia phones running on Symbian S60 including 5800 XpressMusic, the latest E-series and N-series smartphones as well as imminent N97.



In addition, the Nokia Ovi Store also provides third party application developers an easy way to distribute and monetize their applications to Nokia users all over the world. How To Downgrade iPhone 3G Baseband Using Fuzzyband

These are instructions on how to downgrade your baseband to 2.28 for iPhone 3Gs with the 5.8 bootloader using Fuzzyband. This will allow you to unlock your iPhone 3G using YellowSn0w.

Fuzzyband is the preferred application for downgrading your baseband since it does version checking, downgrades all versions of baseband from 2.30.03 to 4.26.08 (3.0 beta5), and it reports the current bootloader version on screen.

Follow the step below :

1. Launch Cydia from your SpringBoard.
2. Press to select the Sections tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. Select System from the list of sections
4. Select 3G Fuzzyband Downgrader from the list of packages
5. Press the Install button at the top right of the screen.
6. Press the Confirm button at the top right of the screen to begin installation.
7. Once installation has completed successfully press the large Return to Cydia button.
8. Press the Home button to return to your SpringBoard. Notice there is a new application icon titled Fuzzyband. Press to launch the application.
9. Immediately upon launching the application you will be shown a message stating that Fuzzyband is querying your modem.
Once it completes you will be displayed your Bootloader Version, your Baseband Version and your iPhone OS version.

If you have a bootloader version higher then 5.08 you will not be able to downgrade your baseband and a Not Supported message will be displayed. If you have the 5.08 bootloader you will be able to downgrade from baseband 2.30 or higher. Press the Downgrade button to begin downgrading your baseband.

10. Once the downgrade has completed successfully you will be displayed a Done! message saying, "I Haz Downgrade!" and you will be on the 2.28 baseband.

Sling Player Mobile for Apple 3G iPhone Now Available At Apps Store

The famous "Sling Player" TV streaming service finally arrived in iPhone Application Store. However, it is quite disappointing that there are some restrictions that iPhone users can only use Sling Player to do media streaming in local Wi-Fi networks but not the AT&T 3G cellular network, as differs from the pre-release version earlier.

According to Mark Siegel, AT&T spokesperson, "the change was initiated due to the concern that high bandwidth media streaming could potentially affect the reliability and stability of its 3G network, which is also stated in the company service agreement that prohibiting third party applications from redirecting television signal to mobile computing devices, under the same reason of downloading movies using P2P file sharing services and etc."

The Wi-Fi only sling player application is not free, and is available in Application Store for purchase at $29.90.
